President’s Message

Spring into Spring!

Spring has sprung! Sports are in full swing, and soon everything will be covered in a lovely sheen of green tree pollen. With spring comes the transition from old to new. In a few short weeks, I will finish my term as PTA President and a new team will come on board to continue the great efforts this organization was founded on, close to 90 years ago. It has been an honor and privilege to lead the oldest and largest PTA in the state for the past two years. We have done great work thanks to the hard work of our parent volunteers, the strong leadership of the PTA Executive Committee, and support of OPS Administration.

We have hosted the Harlem Wizards, installed new water fountains, hosted myriad programs for our students, shown appreciation for our faculty and staff, purchased a book room, and soon, we will work on one last project for the year that will remind our students how unique each of them is. I am confident that the next team of PTA leaders will further efforts like these and perhaps take us to even greater heights.

Thank you to all who have supported me during my tenure. The memories and friendships I have forged during this experience will be something I will treasure.
