Call for Local Vendors

Looking to sell Valentine’s Day treats?  The PTA wants to support your business!  We would like to facilitate a sale to enable the OPS community to support your local business and purchase their loved ones some sweet surprises!

Email SecondVP@OradellPTA.org for more information about this event.  The purpose of this event is not to serve as a fundraiser, but solely to support local businesses.  It is free of charge for vendors to participate.

Lost & Found

We had a parent reach out with a great idea – she took pictures of items in the lost and found and created a slideshow. She realized many parents likely don’t realize their child’s item is missing.  Parents can look at the pictures to spot their missing items.

If you see an item that belongs to your family, take note of the number in the picture. There are numbered bins under the table in the school lobby. Look in the bin to find your item.

Most water bottles and lunch boxes are in milk crate number one.

Please try to keep items in their their assigned bins to make it easier for people who come after you. Also, keep in mind that even though items were originally placed in the correct bin, someone might have moved them when searching for their own items.

You can view the slideshow here.

Items will be available for a limited time only. Unclaimed items will be donated.

Thank you to Rachel Kugelmass Levin for reaching out with this idea and for making it happen!

Mets Game : Tickets for Sale

We sold over 500 tickets, so someone from our group will throw the first pitch.  Each ticket purchased will serve as a raffle ticket to win this experience.  More details on this will be sent to all who purchased as we get closer.

Since we sold over 280 tickets, Mr. Butcher is going to prepare interested Sixth Graders to sing the National Anthem at the game on May 15!  Thank you Mr. Butcher and thank you to everyone who purchased tickets!!

Meet the Mets, Greet the Mets!

Please note, if you ordered tickets for the May 1 game, you can fill out this form to transfer your ticket purchase to the May 15 game and do NOT need to order tickets through the order form again.

Come root for the home team on May 15, 2022 @ 1PM at Citi Field! Sit with ALL of your OPS friends to watch the Mets take on the Seattle Mariners ⚾️

Oradell PTA VP and HUGE Mets Fan, Lauren Driscoll worked an incredible deal with the Mets. She said she wants to make sure everyone has an even better time at the Mets Game than they did at the Yankee Game. Here is what she was able to get us:

– $7 food credit (enough for a hot dog and a drink)
– A David Wright Jersey
– Sixth Graders will get to sing the National Anthem
– Someone from our group will throw out the first pitch
– A picture on the field with our group

High School Helpers

High School Helpers pairs interested RDHS students with OPS families looking for help with their child/children.  The team has already made many successful matches.  Please reach out if you could use some help.

This help is available either virtually or in person; OPS and RDHS families should decide which works best for them.

OPS families can complete this Student Helper Request Form if interested in participating.  The team will work to pair you with your high school helper upon receipt of your form so you can get started right away.

The PTA will:

  • Pair up potential High School Helpers with an interested OPS family based on the information collected
  • Provide contact information for potential High School Helper matches to the OPS family

At that point, the PTA will step back and families can contact the matches directly to make sure there is a fit, set their schedule, coordinate services needed, etc. The PTA is simply facilitating the recruitment and pairing of interested parties.  Please note that there is an hourly fee related to this service, this fee is to be discussed and agreed upon by the two parties involved.  No portion of this fee is going to the PTA, as this is not a fundraiser.

Thank you to Michelle del Corral and RDHS Senior Becca Walker for setting up and organizing this program.

CD Collection Drive

Ms. Schaum is looking for for New or Gently Used CD- R’s( Recordable CDS) for Odyssey of the Mind project.  Please consider donating them!
These can be dropped off at the OPS front vestibule. No Movie or Music CD’s please!
We need about 800 CD- R’s for the project so every CD counts!
